Improvements to female education will provide a country with more knowledgeable workforce, healthier families and ultimately a prosperous societies. Bakhtawar Cadet College for Girls, being the first institution of its kind in Pakistan, aims at providing quality education to female cadets and empowering them to see that they have the ability to be a great generation.   • CM Syed Murad Ali Shah inaugurates Bakhtawar Cadet College for Girls (Shaheed Benazirabad)

      The idea of having exclusive cadet college for girls at Nawabshah was conceived by Muhtrama Faryal Talpur who, as Zila Nazim Nawabshah, in 2005-6, recommended the scheme to P & D Department of Sindh. With her relentless efforts, she got the scheme approved and included in PSDP 2008-09. The ground breaking of the college was performed on 11th October 2010 by Mr. Asif Ali Zardari, the then President of Pakistan. Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah formally inaugurated college on 09th April 2021.

      • Ramadan Kareem 2021: BCCG Mosque Hosts First Taraweeh Prayers

          Amid an atmosphere full of safety and adherence to precautionary measures due to Covid-19, The First Taraweeh prayers was performed in the mosque of BCCG on the First night of this year’s holy month of Ramadan on 13 April,  2021. To start this blessed Ramadan, approx. two hundred fifty (250) people of the college staff including female cadets and teachers offered this ritual prayer with consistency and humility. The college management arranged refreshment for all the Muq`tadis in the mosque. Ms. Roohana Qureshi, Lecturer in Islamiat, is the overall in-charge of arranging Taraweeh in Mosque.  

        • IBA University Sukkur: Ingenious Cadets Embed with STEM Skills

            To motivate and buildup the interest of the Cadets into STEM based learning that embedded scientific and engineering learning practice, a team of 15 Cadets from Class XI (Pre-Engineering Group) accompanied with two teaching faculty members includes, Ms. Ume-Rubab (Department of Computer Science) and Ms. Muniba Rauf (Department of Physics) Visited the IBA University Sukkur on 12 April, 2021. The Cadets of BCCG were welcomed by the Head of the Electrical Engineering Department of IBA University Sukkur, and they were briefed and had demonstration of all the concerned Laboratories and research work, curricular excellence, Engineering programs, Smart Library . The Cadets of BCCG gave their spirited participation in all areas of learning and seeking knowledge.

          • We should have Positive Mindset, Mr Qasim Ali Shah Speaks to Bakhtawrians

              Mr. Qasim Ali Shah, a renowned mentor, author, trainer and inspirational speaker of Pakistan addressed the cadets and the staff of Bakhtawaer Cadet College for Girl, on 22 April, 2021, through online session on ‘Purpose of Life Under Changing Social Conditions’. Three Hundred and ninety participants comprising of Dr. Brig (Retd) Muhammad Amin (Principal), parents, official personalities, cadets and staff of the College attended the Live Session at the auditorium of the College. Ms. Um-e Rubab, OIC IT and her team made sure to provide all the technical support to make the session successful. This Live session was also one of those fruitful activities to transform the thoughts of the Cadets and impart moral values so that they may be nurtured with healthy and purposeful attitude towards life in positive environment with balance personality.

              • An Occasion of Unity- BCCG Hosts Iftar Dinner

                  The Principal BCCG, Dr. Brig (Retd) Muhammad Amin arranged Iftar Dinner on 23 April, 2021, Friday, at Academic Lawn of Bakhtawer Cadet College for Girls. Around 50 members including, Syed Mohsin Ali Shah, Commissioner SBA, Mrs. Muhammad Amin, members of BOGs and other officials attended the Iftar dinner with Principal and Academic staff of the College. On this occasion, The Principal greeted the guests with thanking note and said, ‘As the essence of every religion is humanity and the month of Ramadan is an epitome of the spirit. Hence, hosting of this Iftar dinner is a symbolic gesture of unity and brotherhood which creates mutual harmony’. While, Mr. Mohsin Ali Shah, Commissioner SBA, eulogized the efforts of The Principal and the staff of BCCG with acclamation.

                      • The Principal distributes Ration Bags as Ramadan Gifts

                          On 26 April, 2021, Dr. Brig (Retd) Muhammad Amin, Principal Bakhtawer Cadet College for Girls, distributed ration bags as Ramadan Gifts among the employees and the families in the college who are subjected to stay inside their homes during lockdown. The Principal said ‘it is responsibility of everyone to take care of needy and deserving people as Coronavirus is an epidemic which could be faced through coordinated efforts and special prayers’.  

                        • Plantation Drive: Fruit Tree Orchard Inaugurated

                            In view to create pollution free environment at the College, Dr. Brig (Retd) Muhammad Amin, Principal Bakhtawer Cadet College for Girls formally inaugurated the Fruit Tree Orchard at the vast and fertile land of the College on 22 April, 2021. The Principal inaugurated the orchard by planting a Sapling of a banana tree while cadets and the college faculty were present at the ceremony. In addition to planting Sapling of approx.: 1220 Saplings of Bnana, Falsa, Cheeko(Sapota), Mango and Guava trees, The Principal exhorted the Cadets to promote horticulture and to contribute their knowledge and interest as to get healthy nutrients for a balanced diet.

                            • BCCG Decided to switch to online classes

                                In view of the surging spike in Covid-19 cases across the country, BCCG decided to commence online classes for all the students from VIII-XI for the academic session 2020-21 from 29 April' 2021 to 8 May' 2021. However, the teaching and learning activities may commence through Zoom App/ Google Classroom. Ms. Ume-Rubab, OIC IT, has scheduled the complete plane for online classes.

                                • The Principal host a virtual talk to Managing Director, SEF

                                    On 2 May, 2021, The Principal BCCG, Dr. Brig (Retd) Muhammad Amin, host a virtual conversation with Mr. Abdul Kabir kazi, Managing Director, Sindh Education Foundation (SEF). The Principal joined Mr. Abdul Kabir Kazi for the discussion on providing the scholarship to the cadets of BCCG. Meanwhile discussing the mission and vision of SEF, the managing director told the meeting that the board decided to offer scholarships to the best students of public schools who got admission on merit in cadet colleges. Furthers, he adds that the SEF’s academic council will select the best students from every cadet college of the province. The Principal, while applauding the spirit and great initiative of SEF, detailed the noble mission and vision of the first unique and pioneer cadet college for girls in Pakistan and cordially invited Mr. Abdul Kabir Kazi to pay a visit at BCCG. Ms. Roohana Qureshi, OIC examination, provided the list of selected cadets for the scholarship.    

                                  • New Girl’s Hostel Block Inaugurated

                                      The Principal, Bakhtawer Cadet College for Girls, Dr. Brig (Retd) Muhammad Amin, inaugurates the new Girls’ Hostel Block on 3 May, 2021. Speaking on the occasion, the Principal, BCCG, said that the new hostel would provide better accommodation with the capacity 60 girls cadets of BCCG and has been equipped with all modern facilities. He hoped that the hostel would not be a place to find academic excellence but also be a place of safety, peace and serenity.  The member of BOGs, Engr. Mir Siyal, Engr. Ghulam Murtaza Abbasi, JCO Admin, Sallauddin Rana, Mr. Azhar Shaikh, Accounts Officer and the college staff were present on the occasion.

                                      • A Coordination Meeting Held

                                          On 6 May, 2021, The Principal, BCCG Dr.Brig(Retd) Muhammad Amin had a coordination meeting with Mr. Mohsin Ali Shah, Commissioner SBA. During the table talk, The Principal discussed the mutual interests and the concerned matters of the college.

                                        • The Semifinal of Hippo Contest 2021, Arranged

                                            The Semifinal Round of Hippo Contest was scheduled ONLINE on May 7, 2021 between 9:00 am to 12:00 noon. The selected cadets for semifinal attempted the paper online under the guidance of teachers who were connected with students through zoom app to guide them for online paper.

As per the Govt instructions, the management will share the rescheduled plan for reopening of the college for Cadets and Pre- Board examination very shortly. You are therefore advised to cooperate with your teachers and your fellow students. Don't waste time at home and be a responsible person to yourself, your parents and to your College.
