FIRST TIME IN THE HISTORY OF PAKISTAN GIRLS PASSED OUT FROM A CADET COLLEGE

Bakhtawar Cadet College being the pioneer girls cadet colleges in Pakistan celebrated the first passing out and Annual Parents Day of F on 12th February 2022 with great zeal and fervor. Syed Sardar Ali Shah, Education Minister Sindh graced the occasion as Chief Guest.

Dr Brig R Muhammad Amin, SI (M), The Principal welcomed the Cheif Guest. During his welcome address he presented the Annual Report of the college and talked about brief history of the college.

This event was marked as a historic day in Pakistan because Bakhtawar Cadet College is the First Female Cadet College in Pakistan to graduate and pass out its first batch of 49 female cadets. The Principal said.

While mentioning brief history he he's said, "the idea of having a Girls Cadet College was conceived by Muhtrama Faryal Talpur around 2005-6 who, as Zila Nazim Nawabshah recommended the scheme to P & D Department of Sindh. PC -1 of the Project Construction of Bakhtawar Cadet College for Girls Shaheed Benazir Abad was approved in the financial year 2009-10. The ground breaking ceremony of the college was performed on 11th October 2010 by Mr. Asif Ali Zardari, the then President of Pakistan. Construction of the campus over 100 acres was completed in 2016 and the college inducted it's first batch in Class VIII in 2017."

He further said that aim and objective of the college was to empower women and bring them in leading roles through their focused quality education and leadership training.

The College successfully completed its journey of five years with great success as result of successfully educating and passing out girls Leaders of Tomorrow.

Ceremony was attended by a large number of dignitaries, notables, parents, govt officials, and heads of institutions. Mega event of the day was started with Tree Plantation and formal inauguration of Jinnah auditorium of the college by chief guest. The Guard of Honor presented to the Chief Guest by the smartly turned out Bakhtawarians followed by their meticulous march pass. Girls Cadets presented impressive PT, gymnastic and Karate show. To show their STEM and artistics skill, cadets displayed a marvelous Art and Science Exhibition. Through these activities these cadets demonstrated courage, boldness and bravery which proves that they are second to none.

The Principal BCCG while presenting college annual report to the audience, said, “this college aims at creating an ideal atmosphere of discipline, education and wholesome grooming for the female cadets coming from the entire country so as to prepare them to shoulder the responsibilities in the society. Inculcation of leadership qualities and character building are, therefore, the essential components of the training scheme followed at Bakhtawar Cadet College, besides their intellectual grooming”. He further said, “ its indeed historic moment for Pakistan that we have changed the stereotype mindsets by producing our first batch. Our cadets have been groomed to perform the leading roles on national and international level competing with the males or working side by side for the prosperity of the country." .

Syed Sardar Ali Shah, Education Minister Sindh in his presidential address said that “it is truly a proud moment for the province of Sindh to have laid-down the foundation of this unique and outstanding institution and, I would say, it is also a proud moment for our country that for the first time in its history Girls Passed out from a Cadet College”. He was overwhelmed to see such impressive performance of the young female cadets. He said, "these girls are no way less then the Cadets of any Boys Cadet College. He rather acknowledged that these Girls Cadets seems to be more disciplined and spirited as compared to boys. During his speech he profusely appreciated the dynamic dynamic leadership of Dr Brig R Muhammad Amin, SI(M), and hard work put in to uplift the standards of education and training at the college.

At the end, the chief guest, all diganitaries and parents were served Lunch. While being introduced with college faculty, he appreciated their hard work and devotion to their service.

At departure of the chief guest, photography with Faculty , passing out batch and members of Board of Governors was held.
