Pakistan Day celebrated with Great National Zeal and Patriotic Spirit
03/24/2022
BCCG always encouraged the celebration of national days at the institute to build the character of cadets in a positive direction and to inculcate ownership and belongingness in them for their country and institutions that they belong to.
In this regard, Bakhtawar Cadet College celebrated Pakistan day with the nation to mark the passing of the Lahore Resolution, when a separate nation for the Muslims of the British Indian was demanded on March 23, 1940, in Lahore. The day was marked with wonderfully organized event on 23rd march 2022, in Jinnah Auditorium with great national zeal and patriotic spirit. Principal Dr. Brig. Muhmmad Amin, SI (M) graced the event as chief guest. The theme of the event was;
" تجدید و عہد وفا پاکستان"
The program commemorated with recitation of holy verses followed by national anthem. The Cadets paid homage to the independence movement leaders, including founder of the nation Quad-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinah, Hazrat Allama Muhammad Iqbal, Mohterma Fatima Jinnah and thousands of others who worked tirelessly for the cause of freedom, turning a dream into a reality. At this occasion, enthusiastic cadets actively participated in different competitions and exhibited their love and affection for the motherland in the form of national songs, tableaus, Quiz, bilingual speeches and documentary emphasizing the need of national unity and strength. Inter-house Painting competition remained an interesting segment of the event in which, our diligent painters from four houses exposing their Artistic Skills, presented powerful reflection of sacrifices and efforts by our forefathers on Pakistan Resolution Day through their eye catching paintings. In this competition, Fatima Jinnah House clinched the winner Trophy and Elsa Kazi House stood as runner up.
Highlighting the need of unity, the Chief Guest in his address said “Freedom does not come free, it’s priceless and we should value it as our forefather have sacrificed their lives for it”. He advised the students to work hard for a better, prosperous and peaceful future of Pakistan and leave behind the cultural differences that have been used by our enemy’s as propaganda to divide us on the bases of differences but it’s the day that we call as “Tajdeed-e-Ahed wafa Pakistan”. Therefore we need to realize as well as feel proud on our identity to be Pakistani and Muslim instead of being decided as Punjabi, Sindhi, Balochi and Pakhtoon etc.
Certificates were distributed among the the participants and a group photo was taken followed by cake cutting. At the end, Vote of thanks was given to the staff, participants and particularly to the event in charge Ms. Wengus Ansari, Lecturer in Pakistan Studies.
Applauding the event as well organized, Principal BCCG, Dr. Brig( R) Muhammad Amin, SI(M) prayed for prosperity of the nation and made a pledge that all of us will remain loyal and sincere to our dear Pakistan, respect the cultural values and leave no stone unturned to take Pakistan to new heights of excellence.
